Talk about a cult favorite. French makeup brand MAKE UP FOR EVER has shot into the spotlight in recent years, thanks in large part to their signature foundation. A favorite of high-profile actresses and beauty industry pros worldwide, MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundationis known for its skin-perfecting coverage, smooth finish, and beautiful appearance in photographs and film.

From the moment I spread it on my skin, I was amazed by the coverage provided by MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation in 118 Flesh ($42). It's incredible how just a few drops are needed to buff away imperfections and impart a smooth, airbrushed finish. MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation has plenty of slip so it's easy to blend and cover your entire face while still using only a small amount of product. However, I don't think I would use MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation for super-heavy coverage looks because it starts to feel thick as you build it up. Luckily, you likely won't need to layer it much because the coverage is so good with 1-2 pumps.

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation works well for a variety of skin types. I was expecting it to have a satin, dewy look that would melt on my oily skin, but it actually sets to a natural matte finish that works great for me while still being soft enough for normal to dry skin too.

I've had MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation in 118 Flesh for a little over a month now but the shade was too dark for my pale skin. I've been playing with a lot of self-tanners lately so, while I'm still quite light, this week was the perfect time to transition from Givenchy Photo'Perfexion Fluid Foundation SPF 20 in Perfect Vanilla to a shade better suited for my faux summer "tan."

188 Flesh is a light beige shade that works well for my warm-toned skin. MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation is available in a whopping 26 shades ranging from the fairest of fair to a gorgeous ebony, so everyone can find a perfect match for a change!

Bottom Line:  I was dying to try this product and I am happy to say that it lives up to the hype. MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation has an amazing formula that effectively covers blemishes and imperfections with a tiny amount of product, and the final result looks like an airbrushed second skin instead of a mask. If you haven't tried this foundation yet, I definitely recommend that you start looking for your color match and see if you wind up a MUFE convert!

  1. I'd love to try it. I usually use Estee Lauder Double Wear because it has great coverage.
