|Julep Nail Vernis in Stefani|
What a great cold weather nail polish!
Julep Nail Vernis in Stefani ($14) is the first Julep polish I've tried and I am quite impressed. The brush fans out widely so it's easy to coat your nail, and the polish applies evenly and dries FAST. The coverage is good as well, reaching full opacity with 2 coats (but you could get away with one). I wore Julep Nail Vernis in Stefani without a base or top coat and it lasted five days without noticeable chipping. Pretty good, huh?
In addition to the nice quality, Julep Nail Vernis in Stefani is a really interesting shade. It's a smokey gunmetal silver with hints of blue and green, all spiked with tiny flecks of gold glitter. I think that this color would work well on both warm and cool-toned people and is perfect for Fall and Winter fashion. It's got a glamorous, dramatic flair that makes me feel a little vamp-y when I look down at my hands!
Julep is an expansive polish line that includes over 100 shades. Like Zoya, the products are free of toxic DBP, toluene, and formaldehyde. I don't think Julep is free of animal products though, so stick to Zoya if you're looking for a vegan nail polish. Nevertheless, I think that Julep might have an edge on Zoya when it comes to smooth application and rapid dry time.
Overall, I'm really happy with Julep Nail Vernis in Stefani. It's an interesting, pretty color and the quality is quite good. I can't wait to try more Julep shades in the future.
